Nice Shot! What a Save! Close One!

“Quick Chats” like those have been an essential part of Rocket League since we first launched and based on our community’s frequent recommendations, we’re increasing that functionality with 27 new Quick Chats in our massive June update.

Starting next month, you’ll be able to head into the “Chat” menu, located in the “Options” section, where you can remap new phrases with relative ease. Pre-select your choice from a much wider range than ever before, including player favorites like, “My bad, In Position, Siiiick!,” and “Need Boost!”

New In-Game Quick Chats:

  • All yours.
  • Calculated.
  • Go for it!
  • Great Clear!
  • Holy cow!
  • In position.
  • Incoming!
  • My bad…
  • My fault.
  • Need Boost!
  • Nice Block!
  • Nice one!
  • No Way!
  • Okay.
  • Oops!
  • Savage!
  • Siiiick!
  • What a play!
  • Whew.

Say “GG” with Post-Game Quick Chats

In addition to the mappable “Quick Chats” that are filtered by categories, “Information, Compliments, Reactions,” and “Apologies,” we’ve also added eight new post-game phrases like “gg, well played, One. More. Game,” and “That was fun!,” mapped to the Information (Team) Quick Chats once the match is over.

Post-Game Quick Chats:

  • Everybody dance!
  • gg
  • Nice moves.
  • One. More. Game.
  • Rematch!
  • That was fun!
  • Well played.
  • What a Game!

Our Quick Chat info isn’t all that’s happening in our June update, either! Starting this week and throughout the month of June, we’ll be previewing multiple items planned for big update here and on our official blog. Stay tuned for more via @RocketLeague or Facebook.

Rocket League matches often go down to the wire and whether your team pulls off a stunning upset or stomps the competition, you deserve all the post-match excitement you can get — which is why we plan on providing even more opportunities for players to express themselves.

Starting with the June update, you’ll be able to jump, boost, and spin your Battle-Car on the “Post-Game Spotlights” screen. Check out this preview GIF to see how it works!

Stats for the Win

As you might have guessed from the imagery, we’ll be tracking specific stats associated with each member of the winning team and assign titles for your performance in that particular match. For example,  if you boxed out a lot of Battle-Cars in Hoops mode, the total number of cars bumped stat could be your most prominent, giving you the intimidating “Enforcer” title. Alternatively, if you set up a lot of shots for teammates by centering the ball, you can nab the “Tactician” title on the Post-Game Spotlight screen.

If you’re curious, here’s are just a few of the 20+ titles and their associated stats:

  • Aggressor – Most First Touches
  • Benchwarmer – Fewest Ball Hits
  • Prodigy – Score 3 or more goals
  • Speed Demon – Most Boost Pickups
  • Traitor – Score an own goal
  • Warden – Make 3 or more saves

Spin around, jump for joy, or just celebrate your victory —  it’s all about savoring the moment with your fellow Rocketeers!

Finally. Took those bastards long enough. This was basically requested by anyone who played a week of RL.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Love how much support this game is getting. Love the game too, of course.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

They should make it possible for the text chat that ps4 and pc players to be view by eachother and not just the quick commands.

I find it funny when I see someone who is a Master and writes someone on another platform something in the chat and I'm like "did he still not realize they can't read it"

I'm that person.  I'm an expert and I only recently found out all the abuse I was giving pc players was falling on deaf ears.  I was wondering why they would never respond to my "ps4 master race" bait comments.  I was like,  no way is the pc fanbase this mature lol.
