D2 was one of my fav games of last gen and with it on sale in PSN i was thinking abut revisiting it and getting some trophies too

I played it on PC at 60fps

Seems the deathinitive edition looks better in some regards, worse in others. Tecnhically superior but sometimes loses the charm of the origina stylized look. So, an odd mixed bag remaster

Was disappointed to learn it runs at 30fps though.. I play many of games at that framerate just fine. Thing is,  don't think i've ever revisited a game at a reduced framerate than the one  already played it at. Usually it's either the same or improved from 30 to 60. Not sure how i'd handle this difference. Have you done it? Is the experience worse than when you simply play a game for the first time at 30?

I played DQ8 at its native FPS on PS2 (probably 30) and then played the iOS version which runs between 15-20 FPS depending on your device or where you are in the game. Definitely a massive downgrade XD i still played it and loved it. Honestly what bothered me most was the lack of English VA from the original and them using MIDI like the original Japanese release vs. the international release that had orcestrated music
