12. II (Truly the worst, the skill and stat level up system was a totally unnecessary grind, the story was interesting I give it but the way they designed the game leveling stats is just not horrendous and breaks the game for you in later parts of the game)

11. VIII(My top 2, tbh. It's the only FF games that I had a 100% completion)

10. XIII (Better than FF5, they just hate FFXIII because women actually ran it.)

9. X(Bye IGN with this, my top 6 on my list IMO)

8. III(Jesus this game was boring, it move forward the series though so the ranking is deserved)

7. I(Lower, IMO. It started the series but other games surpassed it except 2.)

5. V(Top 10-11, weak cast, weak story and nothing innovative in this game tbh)

4. IV(Accurate placing. It's the first FF game that hit all the right spots)

Except for the number 1, the list is horrible imo. But not everyone has the same tastes as me, obviously.

I agree with their top 3, though 2 and 3 can flip flop. The rest of the list is a bit wonky though.

Why is X so low? That is my #1. I can get IV, VI, VII and IX being higher but four other games as well?

My favs in reverse order are:

4. VI
3. X and X2
2. XII
1. XIII

The large cast was overwhelming IMO. If only it had a Suikoden type of combat system which makes it easy for you to level things up. FF6 makes the game slower than it should be. It's a top 3 without those issues though.

I am floored.  Dumbfounded even.  Get the game get in a chair and don't return until it is completed!

Outside position number 12 and maybe 1, this list is beyond abismal.FF12 at number 2?Were they high making this list?And X that low?While it is my personal favorite, it is easily in the best four FFs ever made, critically speaking.FF3 being better than FFVIII and FFX is just... sigh.

IGN have some really "good" FF addicts there...

VII fans are not going to be very happy...
About VI, I don't get why the entire cast can't take the xp even if their are not selected. In almost every other RPG I have played (not a lot) the entire cast level up even if they don't fight.
