I used to play them now and then in the 90's, fun in a slower paced way. Today I found this on Kickstarter.

That trailer makes me want to watch Das Boot again :)

The sims style approach to operating the submarine looks like a lot of fun.

I backed it, it only needs 20k to succeed and looks like they are quite far along already. Hopefully it suceeds.

I hope they manage to get their goal, because it certainly looks interesting.

It looks awesome, if it lives up to any of it, would be a fairly decent and unique game.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

My dad played Silent hunter forever... jeez.

Everything was real time, and you could turn off computer aid (meaning you had to do math caluclations for everything yourself).

Crazy hard to play and took forever to do anything in it.. I didnt have the patience for it, but my dad loved it.

Awww, I thought you were talking about Submarine Titans. Does nobody know about this game? I loved it when I was a child, and I don't know anyone that has even heard about it.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I remember that, never had the patience to do full missions. Fun to take down ships, hard game.

Never played that. I played Aquanox a lot, more arcade underwater shooter.

UBoot looks promising to me for the old WWII submarines. Same as WWII planes are more fun to dogfight as well.
I wonder what happened with submarine movies. Being slightly claustrophobic those are a lot more scary to me than any horror movie.
