Forums - Gaming - What are your thoughts on companies paying for meat bots to infest forums?

Hey John 2290. You have my permission to bring over my posts from that other thread we discussed this stuff in, if you want. I don't want to repost it all again.
Unless I'm getting paid to do it of course. He he.
I am not a meat bot, just a meat head.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

How much are they paying for positive battlefield 1 comments?  Anyone know?

I don't mind some extra spending cash.

Psyonix meat bot here, ban him quickly!

Is this really proven to happen?

The comments/forum section would seem pretty useless to chase . I think publishers are more keen to pay to influence streamers, Youtubers, and bloggers that have a real following.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Hiring meat bots to promote and damage control for a company or politician isn't new, but the practice pisses me off. I remember a year ago hearing ads on the radio for a service that specifically does this, painting the business as a victim. "It only takes a few bad reviews online to sully your reputation! Don't let some bad eggs wreck your business! Call now and we can manage your online presence and keep reviews positive!" I was shocked and disgusted at how transparent it all was.

That's crazy.
Anyway, what do you think of the NX? Doesn't it seem awesome? It's going to be tons of family fun!

Nvidia has actually done something like this before.

Not sure if it happends on a site like vgc, or for gameing.

Its why you cannot trust User reviews for games, often times their inflated either by "meat bots" or rabbid fans for or against things.

Since I'm under NDA for these kinds of topics I can't share my honest opinion with you.

In an unrelated note, please check out Rocket League! It's a fucking awesome game!

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

That would explain a lot of things I read around the web...
