I don't think that Nintendo will delay Pokemon Sun and Moon for dual release with the NX. The 3DS still sells well compared to the Wii U.

That's even more of a reason tbh.

Well, that depends on what the NX is. We know that the NX is a console, but we don't know if that means it's a home console or a handheld console.

If it's a handheld, why is Nintendo still supporting the 3DS and how can it run the Zelda that it being developed for Wii U?

Despite what some want to believe, mobile chips aren't that powerful yet.

With the NX version releasing first.

NX has always been speculated to be either a hybrid or have a portable and a home SKU, mobile chips won't need to be that powerful in the case of the latter.

Nothing big probably..

Or simply a home console, don't forget that other option. And so far, the only thing in common with all the leaks and rumors from these past months have been that NX is a home console, with some leaks going as far as saying that they knew nothing about the handheld.

Which is why Nintendo has no reason to delay Pokemon because of NX.

Maybe but think of the following scenario.

NX from what has been indicated from the brief whispers from Nintendo and looking at the patent and patent notes point to more then one SKU, Iwata's last speech on the NX indicated an approach with NX that is similar to IOS governing a group of devices. Going by this scenario it's possible that rumours and leaks that normally come from when devkits are distibuted missed the portable side of things because developers recieved one devkit with tools that covers both devices instead of two separate ones regardless of which one a developers wants to develop for. Insiders aren't neccessarily the development team themselves after all so they wouldn't know.

Don't forget all the leaks also said Q4 2016 as well for release.
