You think Infinite War is going to sell better than BO3?

Better or the same

Cod Ghost sold less than COD BO2 and Ghost came out on 5 consoles while BO2 only released on 3 platforms. Considering that this game has gotten a lot more hate than Ghost and Battlefield 1 is also releasing this year, i doubt COD IW will be the same or sell more than BO3.

Not really. Black Ops III sold massively.

Because it's massively bundled with PS4.

Why are people ignoring this?

Proud to be a Californian.

Why all the extra hate this time?

Another futuristic game despite fan pleas and not selling the MW Remake  separately.

It's always been contradictory the complaints that Call of Duty gets with every new installment.

The most common complaint is that people seem to think Call of Duty is the same thing every year, but then when they actually introduce new things like space combat and shit those same people say they don't like it despite asking for a change.

Most of the hate I think Call of Duty receives is just due to bandwagon as well, people just hate on it because they see everyone else doing it and want to be part of the crowd. Just like the people who hate on Justin Bieber but probably haven't listened to any of his music, the same people probably don't even care or play Call of Duty, they just complain for the sake of it.

I think it's also obviously because of the general overflow of futuristic shooters releasing these past few years. There are already 3 Call of Duty teams, and the other 2 are already making futuristic shooters so infinity ward's next game was the only one that could really be something different but to see it looking similar to the others I could see making people dissapointed that basically all 3 Call of Duty teams are making games set in the same style.

Battlefield 1 is at least something refreshing to see as a change of time period, so that's most likely why. Also why people seem to be more hyped for Modern Warfare remastered than Infinite Warfare, because Modern Warfare is away from all that futuristic shit at least.

I do not like CoD at all, and won't be buying the game.

With that said CoD will be just fine this year, It really makes very little difference how much hate it gets.

So much this, it hurts.

The criticism it's been getting isn't even fair. If this was a Treyarch title, I'd be willing to bet the hate wouldn't be as extreme. This game was already too deep in development when fans started complaining about the futuristic setting. People should be grateful that there's a Modern Warfare remaster.

The potential is there if they adopt the map design Treyarch uses, since Infinity Ward has always delivered the best netcode out of any of the three developers.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Well at least one thing is for certain. The next 2 or 3 cods are going to dump the futuristic Bs after this backlash. they should do WW2, Vietnam and modern day for the next 3 instalments.
