Hmm. My stuff doesn't seem to take that long on my PS4, compared to what it took on my PS3. Most stuff seems to be done within 10-15 minutes. No idea what speed it downloads at, is there a way to check it, or are you guys just going by the download bar?

There are alot of variables here. Firstly time of day you're hitting the server is a big one, i find usually around non peak times i get better speeds. Thats probably because most the people in my region are sleeping and not all trying to hit at the same time.

Secondly Sony could be bare boning it, i do remember the psn store being alot quicker at launch. I distinctly remember thinking it was alot quicker than the PS3, now its a mixed bag.

Thirdly could be faulty ps4 wifi, try plugging in an Ethernet cable and see if that helps. I used to never game on wifi cause i couldnt deal with tge drop outd, but in recent years that's changed alot.

Store doesn't load for me.. about 50% of the time..  Been a day one issue..   so annoying..  Even happends right after turning on the device..

Very strange, my usual download speed is around 3.5 MB/s on the PSN which is pretty much the max I can achieve with my current ISP.

...because you dont have special playstation network VIP Pro ID.

Store functions very fast for me. I always run ethernet cables to my systems. If you guys are using WIFI, it's going to be slower, the more people that are using WIFI, in your household.

I hope people aren't going by the values on the screen? Because that's always been considered highly inaccurate, even on PC.

Also, you probably aren't getting some kind of hidden turbo boost when you pause/restart but instead simply messing up the estimate.

I don't have any problems with the store or downloading, yet uploading my Minecraft save to Cloud storage can take close to 10 minutes. It's 6 files by now, 302MB. Oh nm, that's not that bad for 5 mbps upload.

Just downloaded the ps+ free games, 4.4GB total, 21 minutes, about 28 mbps out of 40 mbps, although it measures 30 mbps download speed in the test (over wifi) It doesn't seem to be throttled server side at my lower max speed.

Because they improve their servers with the money you pay every month to play online... Oh wait they don't!

They are laughing at everyone's face and people isn't doing a thing about it.
