I dunno 64% of gaming being either casual smart device games or crappy Facebook gaming and growing is ... bleh.

It also shows why Nintendo is having a lot of problems, Apple/Google and Facebook have really facilitated the spread of massive amounts of casual content that are available for free in a setting that casuals love.

I meant towards the growth of the other two platforms, casual gaming will always be casual and will always grow since there are far more out there who don't game the way we do.

Dunno what Nintendo can do at this point since the other lot are not really attached to a console like platform, Google and co have the advantage of just selling to different stores across multiple devices, if Nintendo was to get on their level they would have to employ the same strategy which just means they become a copy of the competition.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Apple/Google and Facebook have all poisoned the well for that, they've made giving away games for free the industry standard for casual games, Nintendo's business model doesn't work in that context.

True to that, the others didn't and haven't really seen gaming as a means for fun, more like a slot machine without end and a means for just cash without the heart.
