Why appease a niche audience on the current dying system when you could hold off a year and appease that niche audience and make them buy your new console too?

I really hope nintendo won't abandon the wiiu that fast. I'm not ready for a new console. I really hope wiiu will get nx ports @ 720p30fps while the nx is 1080p 60fps or something like this.
