Not a fan of the series, but I hope I can become a fan after watching the movie and then playing the ps4 game. I don't think cinemas in my country will show it, so hopefully I'll watch next month in the London.

Just make sure to watch an English dub.  I've heard the other dubs are absolutely awful.  I'd also recommend playing the game first, because that's more likely to hype you up for the film than the film is for the game.  The game has a (somehow) shallower plot and skips interesting film details, so you'd be getting a bit more out of watching the film later.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately. if I play the game and see some of the cutscenes, I'll feel like I've seen the movie before and I won't enjoy it. It happened to me with Persona 4 Golden. For some reason I didn't like the anime.

At least in my experience, the game's plot skips several beats from the film that make it different (almost fillery at times). Going by Persona is probably fair though, so I don't blame you for waiting it out just to be safe.

Just saw it Saturday. I enjoyed it. It was a good movie, but nothing really to write home about. There was really nothing wrong with the movie in and of itself. There are just more "dynamic" titles out there and others coming out. Could I have waited on video? Actually, yes. But it was a good enjoyable afternoon waster.

That's exactly what I felt too. The fanservice was amazing though, there were so many touches, small and big, that made me smile.

It's a movie you'll forget about mostly in like three months but it's fun while it lasts. Plus there are some scenes that are insanely vital to the game's plot being decent that aren't shown in the game, so the two combine into one mostly cohesive plot.
