So you're saying they could have a NX direct BEFORE E3, and then NX be a no show at the event despite having already been revealed by itself. Yeah that makes absolutely no sense. NX not being at E3 only means we're not gonna see it anytime beforehand. Nintendo, while they do a lot of dumb things, aren't that stupid to release a console without it ever attending an E3. They obviously want to NX to be there but physically can't most likely due to a hardware complication. Same reason why they're missing out on the holidays for it's launch.

Nintendo already said they'd talk about NX a year beforehand. 3-4 months, especially when Nintendo doesn't have anything else going on in between, isn't that much. The point is to give fans a new date to look forward to since the initial one was dashed.

Of Course not, if they launching NX this year, I would expect revile in May and full blown up at E3, same like MS done with XB1. But NX will be launched 4 monts later, and they think reavile now would be too early and they want to reveale console at E3 because reasons I mentioned.

March 2017 is just 9 months after E3, if Nintendo wanted to show NX with games at E3 they could showed easily, but they don't want because reasons I mentioned. They said they missing holiday season in order to have proper lineup, they want to be sure to not repeat 3DS and Wii U weak launch lineup.

Wii U had presence at two E3 and we all know how much Wii U is successfule.

If reavile is in September/October definitely is too early now give date of revile.

You do realize this is still the earliest Nintendo has ever launched a console from announcement and relative to their previous gen, so "too soon" is definitely not a reason to give up massive publicity and hype when you've always taken it even sooner. I mean I'm sorry but that's just really silly logic and I don't believe Nintendo is that foolish. It's clearly just a hardware problem that delayed things. Them delaying NX to have a proper line-up is typical pr bs, they've been working on NX games since 2014 perhaps even sooner considering Wii U ports, and they confirmed a unified library.

Yes I realise, but same goes for Sony and Microsoft, today there is no point to revile your console one year or more before launch, also Nintendo said several time they dont to talk about NX too early becuse competion could still their idea. Why do you think is NDA is so strict, why Nintendo is so silence about NX, why we still dont know anything about NX expect code name and release date!? Nintendo is keeping cards very close to their chest.

Software and posible hardware are reasons to miss holiday season, but that doesnt mean they couldnt revile console at E3.

Exactly, Sony and Microsoft had their consoles at E3 and then released in Holiday, Nintendo wanted to do the exact same thing, but had to change their plans due to hardware complications.

Best way to reveal new console is on separate event where you will have full attention of industry just for itself, same thing Sony and MS done with PS4 and XB1. Yes I agree, I think initial plan was to reveal NX before E3 and then have full blown up at E3, same like MS done with XB1. But then they moved launch for 4 months and moved all their plans.
