Actually 2D Mario is not obvious one, I dont think we will see new 2D Mario in near future. Far more obvious is 3D Mario.

They'll announce backwards compatibility with 3DS. The whole 3DS library will be the launch game.

If they have Zelda, 3D Mario, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart 9, Pikmin, Mario Strikers, and more on top of atleast decent third party support in the first year, I'd seriously consider picking it up first year or even at launch. NX better blow it out of the park!

I dont care, Nintendo still dont have enough development teams to support an HD system on wii u´s level properly. If the NX is even stronger then wii u (like ps4) we will again have looong lonely gaps betweens game releases. Even if their launch / first year is very good, thats only because they relased almost no wii u game in the past 2-3 years (from NX release perspective).

I personally would put XCX(enhanced or not) as an launch game or launch window for NX too.Nintendo needs new fans, and XCX(specially with better graphics) would go a long way to show people that they are also commited to hardcore games.Plus there were alot of people complaining that they didnt want to buy a Wii U only for this game, though they wanted to play it, so I believe there is a big to potential to sell more copies and even make XC a big Nintendo franchise
