Best, most deserving of respect is Demon's Souls, for undermining the terrible trends of most 7th gen games. The game is a masterpiece. 

Nothing else compares, though the ps3 had a few other games that were good.

Im disappointed at the lack of jrpgs last gen. Last gen was my least favourite.

Id love a HD remaster of Demon's Souls. I want to play it again but i want the community there to play aswell.

Agreed. Not only does it deserve it,  but I feel like it is necessary in order to preserve its legacy. Yes, I think Dark Souls is better, but Demon's is rarely talked about anymore, which is a shame. It needs an update for the current platforms. I would love to see it happen.

Not to start a argument but looking at these list reminds me why I bought so few ps3 games last gen. Bought all 3rd party for 360 for gamerscore. Seeing alot of 3rd party on people's list, wasn't a whole lot of 1st party I was thrilled with outside of the uncharted series. Surprised not to see more little big planet on more lists!

Third parties make the majority of games in PS3 library in terms of quantity, they will definitely be there in huge numbers in these lists. Sony is one publisher while third parties include several publishers.

I personally love God Of War series and TLOU from Sony's first-party, Uncharted is great and Killzone and Infamous are very good too, that's quite a lot of games I like from a single publisher :D

I think Dark Souls is a better game than Demon's Souls but I enjoyed Demon's Souls alot more. It was such a fresh experience when I first started playing. Yeah Dark Souls built upon that and made it better, I just didnt have that same fear as I had already experienced fear and death in Demon's Souls.

I definitely agree, to an extent. Demon's Souls was also my 1st game in the series, and it really challenged my gaming ability. I gave up at Phalanx---that is how bad I was at that game. But, I persevered and beat the game.  Still, the design and interconnectedness of Dark Souls really blew me away (I also played it at 60 fps on pc, which was a huge deal and made a big difference).

And yes, the fear and death aspect was insane upon my 1st playthrough of Demon's, just like yourself. Especially Tower of Latria. I proceeded through that area so slowly because I was terrified of the darkness and those gargoyles hahaha. Such brilliant level design. I mean really, most of the levels in that game are some of my favorite designs ever, such as Boletaria, Shrine of Storms, and Latria. Wonderful, wonderful game.
