Adventure personally.

I can enjoy a game with lame combat if the exploration is great, but I I get bored of pure action games with nothing to really explore on my own.

Yeah, I'm using extremes to illustrate my point, but I think it helps to compare them this way.

Definitely Adventure. Exploring big worlds, discovering new lands and secrets is definitely exciting. That's what makes games like Minecraft and XCX so great. You never know what you're going to find, and when you find a village, a wild jungle, pyramids, and whatever else, it makes the journey worth it!

Action is good too, but give me a world to play in any day x )

XCX has an absolutely outstanding world. Definitely the key example I had in my head when thinking about why prefer adventure so much. The world is so big, yet layered that reaching your destination can become a big puzzle on its own. Especially navigating Noctilum, oh boy.

bet: lost

Adventure has all!!

In Sony We Trust!

Adventure game is challenging. For example, PS4 indie game IS ABOUT a lone koi fish on a journey to return home.  If a game is about a story, its interesting...

Yeah, that was a game where I could just waste time running around for a few hours. The world is very great and vast, with all sorts of things in the distance I strived to reach. Sometimes I would have to navigate around, but when I made it, it felt so rewarding... There  were also times I found strong monsters while roaming, especially one sitting in the ocean, looking like crash landed ship. Those moments sucked..

But good times overall just exploring x )
