Longer than Into the Nexus which is the closest comparison pricewise. |
Nice, more bang for your buck.

How old is your daughter, and what other games does she like?

| midrange said: This is more like it. Games should be this long at least. That way games aren't relying on "replayability," which differs from person to person. Not every one is a completionist, and devs should take that into account when considering game size (looking at you starfox) |
That's like saying Mario Kart shouldn't be unplayable. Star Fox is designed with replayability in mind, and designing a game to be replayable isn't a bad thing

Yeah except starfox is fine the way it is. Every game has an audience. It's designed with replaybility in mind.

5. She likes skylanders, mario 3d world, mario kart 8, splatoon, and donkey kong(which she sucks horribly at)

While both games are designed for replayability in mind, Mario kart focuses on person to person gameplay whereas starfox is single player that focuses on branching paths that have to be manually coded in. It's the same reason as to why pokemon stadium has had a stronger run than pokemon snap.
This is why I like how Ratchet and Clank compensates by having a substantially larger story
40$ for a good platformer (something we have to little of) and 11-15 hours of enjoyment in a pixar like world? sign me up.
I hope this game does really well sales wise, and they make some follow ups to it.

Then I'll wait for it to either go on sale or buy it second-hand. Simple. |
Which is why I use the word annoying. It's not the end of the world, just really inconvenient. In the end, both games will probably do fine. I just feel that Ratchet and Clank has been doing a lot of consumer friendly practices (the likes of which I would have wanted in starfox)

I agree.
