Forums - Sony - ''Sony Is Quick To Drop Hardware'' Is A Fabricated Myth

Oh i agree with you. They only care about the main home console.

Peripherals and handhelds get thrown out faster than yesterday's trash.

I'm pretty sure the same will happen with VR. Sony is like the little kid that is always too excited about a new toy and gets tired of it 5m later and moves to the next one.

Of the op, I'd argue that the PS3's BC is the best way to play ps2 games on an HD TV. Have you tried it? It was a HUGE improvement!

Ps2 upscaled PS1 games and Xbox 360 upscaled Xbox games. The only console Maher that didn't improve games when played in bc more (from the current "big 3") is Nintendo.

Played through Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance on the PS3 recently, while chapter one was beautiful looking there was some amount of issues with the textures in the later parts of the game, but from looking at wiki's list I have a CECHC/CECHE console rather than the A/B model which apparently has zero issues with the game.

Edit - Meant to add, great read in the OP, thanks Ruler some cool points.

You just listed 1 game from 2011, 1 game from 2012, 1 game from 2013 & 1 game from 2014. If you want to convince people that Vita had strong 1st party support than you are going to have to do a better job.

my point still stands, Nem was mocking Vita's 1st party support and you responded by listing one game per year with the most recent being nearly two years old.

- Sony dropped the Vita fast, some niche games Japan support doesn't change this fact.

- Move has been revived from dead&forgotten status because Sony needed some input device for PSVR. And let's be honest, move is bad at this job, the controls are very slow and easily out of sync in PSVR.

After all, I don't really blame Sony for dropping support for Vita that fast. Sony in its current state simply doesn't have the money to support such a sales flop. Sony is still in big financial troubles. They should concentrate on the PS4.

I though this thread would be about the PS5 being all about streaming service instead of being a hardware console.
