Forums - Gaming - Its official, Quantum Break's PC port is terrible

Microsoft with Pc gaming...

They should just give up!... 45 75.00%

Minor setback, but still... 14 23.33%

Yeah I heard this game runs alot better on AMD hardware.
Like a 280$ AMD card beats a 500$ nvidia one.

They shouldn't have done a day one launch. Spend a few months optimizing it so we don't have to hear people complain about a bad port.

But I suppose the people playing it without problems are content.

By the way, the Windows Store user score is better and arguably a better reflection of people actually playing it.

From what i posted the issues seem to be from the UWP side, not Remedy's.

DF analysis with GTX 970 and R9 390. DF gives the AMD card a 50% advantage in FPS. Still pretty disappointing. Also a 50FPS cap?

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Metacritic isn't weighted fairly as far as i know.

The volumetric lighting really kills the framerate especially on Nvidia GPUs ...

This is really getting embarrassing for MS and their UWP push, first Gears then QB, both their exclusives.

sorry barney buddy....minor setback. Xbox One is just destined to lose more exclusives

Doesn't this happen with like nearly every console game that releases on PC?

If I had a conspiracy theory about what went down, it's this:
1) Microsoft was originally intending this to be an Xbox One exclusive first with a PC version down the line. They were expecting that it would be such a must-play game that the PC version would sell a ton.
2) They got internal reviews which were significantly lower than they had hoped.
3) They rushed out a PC port to capitalize on pre-orders and early purchases and early hype for the game.
