Ok, I'd usually be one of the first to jump on the FFXV bashing bandwagon but in this case... well I can't bash it for something that I don't even notice (nor care about even if I did). Played the demo and never noticed a single problem with the graphics. Never got any worse at any point in the whole demo. But hey, I never went in looking for flaws...

You dont see nothing wrong with these pictures from the game?

Don't look too bad

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

"The demo was not intended to showcase the game’s frame rate, as it was more aimed to let players experience the world. Verifying how dynamic resolution worked was also the first priority as opposed to frame rate."

"Platinum Demo was created in a very reasonable way. It was created by a small team of people in two months using features that are almost completely developed in the final game."

Ooooooh. I was extremely misinformed then.

People told me this was a demo showcasing a portion of the entire game.  No wonder why some of the details were blurry and whatnot.

I know the game is 6 months away, and a game can be extremely polished in half a year. Personally, i would give the demo a 9/10 review(with dropped framerates the only issue). While I would be disappointed if framerate wasn't fixed, I wouldn't care much. the game looks phenomenal, and I can't wait to get it

Like Vivster would say, "fist sized pixels"!

Its a demo... but i don't think they realise that this demo is costing them more sales than its earning.

They need to remove it asap and replace with Episode duscae or none at all.

The demo isn't good at all. Its not just the FPS, but if you look in the distance in the water city, you will see how everything is low poly and low res texture. Like... really ugly. The demo isnt a good showcase at all.

This is why companies don't release demos. They almost always do more damage then anything

I think they will fix it up in the final release.

I played the demo the other day before I had heard about any performance issues and still noticed the choppy framerate pretty much all the way through. Hell, I'm not even someone who normally pays attention to that sort of thing.

From a technical standpoint that demo was a mess. Though, a small issue compared to the combat system...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Dear Square Enix ...

Could you please use the Frostbite engine instead and get DICE to be your graphics programmers next time ?

One more reason why I'm still a PC only gamer and NOT a console gamer this gen ...

Yeah, proud to be part of the 18 fps master race :p

That's on low settings, no shadows etc, on a 2 year old $1000 laptop with dedicated GPU. And not a lowest fps, it drops as low as 7fps with more people around. It only reaches 30 fps alone in space. Still a lovely game and it can still take great 8K screenshots, although they can take up to 30 seconds to render!
No chance of me engaging in PVP, put a couple of ships around me and my laptop surrenders for me :)

This is why I've got a desktop and being a PC master race elitist sucks too ...

I really doubt that framerates drop is gonna stay when the game launches.

You think so ? It's been about a year and they haven't improved the framerate compared to Episode Duscae ...

Duscae, is a Part of the game, and Actually Duscae, play better than Platinum's Demo, the Last Demo was not a part of the game, and Developers only had a Few months to make it, they made only to show the Game's New Mechanics, this post is Useless, because those are not the Game's Performance,  just a Demo to show Mechanics, not Performance.
