Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy's framerate is disappointing

Seeing the game reach to as low as 13 fps is unacceptable. To be honest, I would have thought they would settle for 30 FPS locked. A game this beautiful is ruined with choppy framerates.

Saying that, I wonder why people care so much for visuals. In a day where the Wii U can still create gorgeous games at 720p(Xenoblade Chronicles), the #1 goal companies should seek out for is a locked 30 FPS(or higher if possible).

I'm seriously hoping next generation does NOT go onto 4k. Last thing we need is more crappy games that only care for looks.
Next generation should aim for a no-exception standard of 1080p/@60 FPS.

I mean, really. Final Fantasy already looks gorgeous. Removing some textures won't suddenly make it look like trash(unless you're a nitpicking metacritic reviewer).
I truly hope the final product is a locked 30 FPS.

Its a demo... but i don't think they realise that this demo is costing them more sales than its earning.

They need to remove it asap and replace with Episode duscae or none at all.

The demo isn't good at all. Its not just the FPS, but if you look in the distance in the water city, you will see how everything is low poly and low res texture. Like... really ugly. The demo isnt a good showcase at all.

NOPE!

I think devs are going to be doing ray tracing for next gen so sub-30FPS here we come again!

I really doubt that framerates drop is gonna stay when the game launches.

Ok, I'd usually be one of the first to jump on the FFXV bashing bandwagon but in this case... well I can't bash it for something that I don't even notice (nor care about even if I did). Played the demo and never noticed a single problem with the graphics. Never got any worse at any point in the whole demo. But hey, I never went in looking for flaws...

look, I'm not going to not buy the game just because I find one issue. I simply realized that sometimes the frames were ridiculously low.

Otherwise, I've been waiting for the game for a long time

One more reason why I'm still a PC only gamer and NOT a console gamer this gen ...

You think so ? It's been about a year and they haven't improved the framerate compared to Episode Duscae ...

I didn't even notice framerate drops in the demo so it's certainly not that bad.
