Forums - Sony - The Order 1886 sequel?

With the PS4k approaching they should not be able to make the sequel cinematic enough. They may not even bother if they can't get that cinematic feel on both platforms.

Gameplay was fine, there just need to be more of it. If they make the story more interesting, a smaller percentage of cutscenes to gameplay, and a much longer game, I'd consider playing the sequel

The best part is that they would not need t improve anything mechanical wise. The same engine and graphics where great, just expand the lore and add some more guns and open spaces and new enemies. It would even be better if it would be an expansion to the original. Make it $20 and add at least 10hr to the gameplay. Witht he backlash the game got it would be better to first recover some of the good will of the gamers that already have it and for $40 a lot of new players would love to try it out with the almost triple story and improve world and guns. Ten they can make a sequel, cuz I dont see anoother game doing as well after the game was destroyed by every critic and some gamers so disapointed in how short it was.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Mechanically 1886 was not fine. No quick 180 turn, no dedicated melee button, the stealth action needs work, and boss fights / fights with non-humans need way more thought and development. A sequel could fix all of those issues (among the others I just don't remember), if the time and effort were put in.

Sony wants to the order a trilogy...

Not when the original was dragged in the mud. If there was an equivalent to direct-to-video nowadays The Order would get that treatment.

Of course sequel is most welcome. I am sure they have gottem enough feedback from the field to make it perfect.

IP is dead. Sequel is impossible.

I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to it, I actually quite liked the background of the order itself and the world. The villains were as cookie-cutter generic as could be and the actual story that drove the game was cliche and mind-numbingly trite, but there's enough there for someone to work with. But then they'd also have to expand on the gameplay which is a tall order.

I wouldn't mind one. I liked the world and characters they created and story was starting to get interesting in the latter half of the game. Honestly, the first game felt like they're were showing off their engine more than anything. I think with a sequel they'd be able to look at the criticism they received and hopefully make a better game from it.

However, I doubt we're going to get a sequel anytime soon, if at all.
