Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy XV 10 million unit goal isn’t about profit, but the team’s personal ambitions

This is what I've figured. Square is just looking to find their next big game that can overthrow FF7.

Around the Network

I don't think they want us to know how much it must sell before turing into profit.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Anyone who's logical knows that they don't need 10M copies to turn a profit. You can sell 10M and still not be able to profit if the game was sold at discount bin then those numbers are useless.

They need atleast 2-3M on launch meaning full price to turn a profit. Game may have been delayed for ten years but it's ultimately a single player game at heart and development was stopped midway or even earlier for other games like FFXIII series and FFXIV ARR especially the latter considering the disastrous launch so money didn't just go to waste, it was temporarily shifted to other projects.

If someone asks why I'm using an alt account, CGI and Truckusaurus got me a temp approval until I get my iconic and notorious "kurasakiichimaru" account back. :p

I already said this in the last thread.

SE has been giving a 10mill figure every FF Since 10. Its about finally overcoming that shadow of FF7
