Very true, can anybody name a good fighting pre Street Fighter II? SFII was something unique in '91 and still feels great now.
Its not even certain if SFV can achieve SFIV numers on PS3 alone.

Official numbers from Capcom are SFIV, SSFIV, SSFIV:AE sold 7.6 million. SFII, SFIIT, SSFII on SNES and Genesis did 14 million.

It is a shame because for all the people that bought it, most are in agreement that it is the best playing SF ever by a wide margin.
I wish people would try it out and give it a chance but the hatred is infectious and it's too easy to find yourself on the bandwagon.
I would love to see it get above 3 million but as we can see with The Division, gamers, despite their protests to the contrary are mostly sheep that follow trends like most other industries. Not to knock the Division, just an example!
I'd love people to be more open-minded!

Maybe people aren't jumping on the SFV bandwagon due to fatigue. I own SFV but frankly I haven't played it much. Instead I find myself spending more time with KI, feels more fresh and I just have more fun with it.
On paper The Division sounds like an interesting and unique game. While SFV at its core is more of the same. The average player could have more fun with Ultra Street Fighter IV right now.
