Some like to do this and then save a heap of silly marketing later on for a PC version, just look at how EA and Ubisoft have tried their hand at hamming up PC ports, it's hilarious.

Seriously though, XV on PC is a given at this point, it would be silly as hell to port over all the otherr FF titles but not the upcoming one and then just spit in the face of all the previous effort they've put in for the platform, my guess is they are holding off and pulling an EA/Ubisoft to drum up seperate hype and use their form of marketing.

Also, SquareEnix had great success fighting piracy with their fancy Denuvo "anti-tampering" software. Both Just Cause 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider became headaches for hackers. Not sure if it was eventually cracked, but by the time it was, the hype was gone anyway. The DRM might become even better(worse?) by the time FFXV comes out.

Of course there's a pc version. it's just it will be a late port. Smart business as it results in double dippers and more revenue for SE.

I wonder if it'll run on the new 2016 macbook pro on low settings...

Lol fuck me.

Don't worry. I guarantee it will run perfectly on the NX with touch screen controls.

Let's see if the FF team can make their first good PC version.

It's not even out yet, why would you want to buy it? You can get beastly gaming laptops for that price.

If they put a Iris Pro Graphics 580 it could run, with Iris Graphics 540 and 550 propably not.

I just hope it doesn't hinder performance in any way since the creators of it haven't completely specified in any sort of way and there usually is some hampering one way or another with DRM.

If they do they will likely get some praise and good sales, if not then good luck trying to get many sales at all.

Yeah DRM is never good news but it gives more confidence to the publisher, which is why I mentioned it.

I suppose it will for some, I mean in all my years I've been alive for, I;ve seen plenty of devs fight and co-exist with piracy rather than growing up through life but being a kid who thinks they are some superhero that will forever vanquish something like Piracy, it's always going to exist, it's how you deal with it that matters, I suppose this is their way of dealing with it but I;ve seen better by other devs before.
