Forums - Nintendo - Hardcore Mode in Starfox Zero apparently locked behind Falco Amiibo

Wait, where is the proof that the black arwing can be unlocked from completing an objective?

In the same place as the proof that it can't?

Does it really say that in the vid? No one has pointed that out yet...

Though if true, it would be really relieving.

You guys are a bunch of whinny little girls. I can't wait until the game comes out and everyone realizes you can unlock that mode by completing the game in normal (the falco amiibo being a faster way to unlock it).

Stop crying before the game is even released.

User was warned for this post ~ CGI-Quality

I feel you. All the bitching and whining about every little detail of this game is getting really annoying.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Where'd did you go :(

Was I supposed to come back?

Anyways, in all seriousness, if this seriously true, then this is really dumb, though since I actually do have a Falco amiibo, I can't say I'm as mad as others.

You do know "brb" means "Be right back", right? We were worried SICK when you didn't come back!

Signature goes here!

I still can't believe ppl buy this plastic things, and i am pretty sure many of the ppl buying this toys are the same ppl complaining about the dlc practice on ps/xbox.

At times, I feel like vgchartz is a great place to come to, to celebrate games and the gaming culture. More often than not though, its just a place to hate. On everything. :/

If babymode is included and hardcore mode is (POSSIBLY) behind a paywall, then who is Nintendo catering to and is that the best decision? That's what I wanna know. Financially, this could be the best course of action, if the masses are casual players. I mean, lets be honest, a ton of ppl talk about everything Nintendo should be doing, but very few ppl (compared to the competition, at least) are buying Nintendo stuff. They have to adjust to the market after all.

Although, I could be completely wrong and the majority buyers are super hardcore and the babymode is the one that should be on an amiibo. I don't know, and I have no way of finding out. I do find it interesting though

You guys gave them message that this is a ok in the first place, this could be a turning point for the better, but it requires for Ninty fans to not buy the amiibo, something that we all know won't happen.

So are you denying that it's the developers fault or what? Nintendo makes it's own decisions regardless of what the fans say so whether we give them the okay or not is irrelevant. And if they think people buying amiibo is a sign that we want amiibo exclusive content in our games then they're only fooling themselves. From what I've heard and seen most people buy amiibo for the figurine itself, not just to unlock content since it isn't worth the price in that sense, I mean $13 for a Sonic skin in Mario Kart? Gtfo! Thankfully they've already acknowledged that they know this, but it seems their response is "more amiibo exclusive content!" which I'm pretty sure no one wants.

I'm not denying that Ninty it's mostly the culprit here, I'm just saying that blind amiibo buyers had a part to play as well.

I'm now filled with determination.

Not surprising but is unfortunate that this is needed to increase the difficultly

Will wait patiently for official info...

Definitely will do that, but I wonder if the guy in the video playing the game can answer the question regarding the hardcore difficulty.

I don't think he can as it is a blind playthrought and honestly doubt Nintendo tell him about it.

And what you're saying is wrong, it's 100% on Nintendo, they make the games, not us. What's a "blind amiibo buyer" anyway?

How do you know this? That they're both the same thing?

The mode was described as one where the player's offense is raised but their defense is greatly lowered, and this video explains that the Black Arwing does precisely that.

This still doesn't eliminate the possibility that there will be difficulty modes in the game to choose from. Perhaps there could be even harder modes to choose from?
