You know that minecraft, lego games, trine 2 and Rayman legends are already available on Wii U, right? Rayman Legends best option is using gamepad with local multiplayer, even better when there are 5 to play

Yup, totally. I actually have Rayman Legends on Wii U.

I was looking for games not also available on Wii U of course, which is why I think I'll check out Rocket League. I need to look into some of those other games too since I've never heard of a lot of them.

I think this should be more evident on the OP, some people in this thread didn't get that. And add that you don't want shit games either

Beach Buggy Racing isn't actually that bad, wait for it to go on sale and grab it dirt cheap.

Rocket League + Dead Nation + Rayman Legends + Hell Divers

AlieNation is coming soon, and you will love it.

Anytime. I guess you can already close the thread, you won't hear anything else more

Off the top of my head, some of the best couch MPs I've tried/seen on PS4 have been:

Diablo 3 (soo good on consoles)
LittleBigPlanet 3 (hilarious after a few beers)
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (one of my favorite IPs)
Borderlands Collection (such a great shooter and co-op experience)
Resogun, Dead Nation and Super Stardust Ultra (Housemarque games in general, looking forward to Alienation)
Ultra Street Fighter IV
Mortal Kombat X
Rayman Legends
Rocket League
Minecraft
TrackMania Turbo
Trials Fusion
Trine 2
TowerFall Ascension
Gauntlet
Helldivers
LEGO games

Edit: If you want to, share how it went and which games you had the most fun with :)

Wow thanks!

I guess I should have specified that the games would need to be family friendly, so no Diablo, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc. I'm thinking I may check out Rocket League. I'll look into some of those others also.

No problem :)

You take this too seriously dude.

This list includes 90+ local multiplayer PS4 games. It's not completely updated but maybe you can find some games you'd like.

Personally, I'll recommend Amplitude. It takes some skill but it's really fun.

These are some recommendations:

· Rayman Legends: probably one of the best options for having some wild, offline multiplayer fun. You can play the campaign, the challenges or even have some goofy fun with the Kung-football minigame. I've spent entire days playing this with friends. :P It's on WiiU, but the mechanics are different in certain parts of the game, so consider that.

· Knack. Meh game (you're advised), but co-op helps everything. And besides, if the children are having fun, then everything else can be forgiven.

· Metal Slug 3. I guess the game is kind of violent, even with its pixel-art style, but I think it's tolerable for children (Check it first). It's relentless, and kind of hard, but it is also that kind of game you can't stop playing once you pick the controller.

· Street Fighter. Sure, it's people punching the crap out of other people, but no blood, so where's the problem?!

· Little Bit Planet 3. Another safe bet, even if it's complicated at first.

· Divinity: Original Sin. Another violent game, but I don't think it's too explicit to be harmful to the kids. It's also a not so easy to play game, but still, check it out first then decide.

· Geometry Wars 3. Fun retro-styled stick shooter! Check it out.

Rock band 4 is ONLY local multiplayer right now, it's family friendly and really accessible because music.
It's sort of expensive though.

Thanks. Does Street Fighter V have local multiplayer? I saw someone earlier mention IV but what about V?
