Problems with OP the Vita isn't gen 8, it was released alongside the PS3 not the PS4. Nintendo made plenty of mistakes with the Wii U as they did with the Gamecube hence the sales.The PS4k is not the PS4 succesor and if it is real it is probably just the PS4 that supports 4k media according to eurogamer, which seems plausible as a new function in the slim model with UHD Blu Ray on the horizon. Which is a format Sony codeveloped. With a more efficient gpu/cpu.
Most importantly how can you forget all the awesome games we already had this gen. The Witcher 3 is probably one of the best games of all time. Bloodborne was also quite amazing, we had a shitload of new fun IP's and we get VR (Sony) and AR (MS) into this gen. With Uncharted 4, Mass effect 4, Gears 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, FF15, KH3, Zelda U and plenty of other titles, the best is yet to come and somehow people write this gen down already.
