SCE announced today the formation of ForwardWorks Corporation, a new company that is aimed to deploy new services toward the ever-expanding smart device market.

ForwardWorks will leverage the intellectual property of the numerous PlayStation® dedicated software titles and its gaming characters as well as the knowledge and know-how of gaming development expertise which was acquired over the years with PlayStation® business to provide gaming application optimized for smart devices including smartphones (Android and iOS) to users in Japan and Asia.

Hmm. They've certainly carved themselves out a unique position in many markets. If they were smart, they'd leverage this new subsidiary to help make their mobile phones popular.

Ratger see them working on Vita, but Sony is a companie, and companie want money.Oh well.

Just hope that even with the mobile titles, the consoles titles of the same feanchises keeps being made.

The smartest thing to do would be to create a service that allowed Sony to sell their software on many other platforms AND make hardware that makes money out of the gate. It seems well and truly on track to me.

which hardware is it that is making significant returns out of tha gate apart from PS4?

Well he did say "make" so its probably not made yet. lol!
