Actually forgot that I have played some of those (Outlast and Alien ISolation).

They were definitely good games, but I'm still hoping for more. They had good atmosphere but weren't actually scary.

I almost pissed myself a couple of times but you do have a point. The atmosphere is great but they don't have the same psycological effect that e.g. Silent Hill 2 had.

I had the chance to play silent hills and it was fucking terrifying. I've never been interested in these kind of games until that demo came out.

So another PT?

Yeah P.T. is really sick XD

I like how a demo can have such a huge impact. That tells something about its quality. I think it was downloaded 1 mill times in 2 weeks and it inspired several developers to make games like Allison Road and Layers of Fear.

Doubt Sony want to give a big budget for Kojima to make a horror game when they have already sony bend doing one.
Also he said he wanted making something new , and this would be a new start, if its that actor its something else.

Where is this so called horror game?  we have seen nothing so its nothing

Hope so.

All I want is for him to create the game he was going to make and call it something different. Gaming is starved for proper horror games right now.

I agree that former leading horror franchises have fallen behind like Resident Evil and Silent Hill but imo some of the new horror games like SOMA and Alien: Isolation offer quality experiences as well. Though not as good as classic RE and SH I also think Outlast, Amnesia, The Evil Within, Layers of Fear and Until Dawn are worth checking out. I look forward to try Allison Road and Routine in VR.

Think it will be E3 2017 before we see this.

Maybe. But I think Sony's going for a Trifecta again this year and a presentation of Kojima's concept/early trailer could be one of this year's 3 megatons.

I expect the other 2 to be Crash Bandicoot (I've never believed the return of Crash untill Shawn wore that shirt back in December) and Agent (now a smaller game, maybe multiplat but still a megaton for PS fans).

Before E3 2015 this would've been the most delusional fanboy's wet dream but after FF7R+TLG+Shenmue 3 anything can happen :)

I was considering getting SOMA. How good is it?

Hopefully it's epic!!

Err... Yeah, PT 😅

I Think that we will only see something in the next year, Kojima, said early this month that he was still hiring people and chosing the Workplace for his Studio, so he Might have the concept of the game, but still don't has begun with the development yet.

It's SO good.

Imo Outlast didn't bring that much besides a feeling of claustrophobia and some jump scares but SOMA really has something to tell. You might be a bit disappointed with the animations in the very beginning but that's not a problem later on. Some of the later scenes infuse some terrifying feelings.

The price for the game is a bit high but personally I think it's worth it. If you pick it up on a sale I guarantee that you won't be disapoointed.
