There we have it. In that game it was bad but it this game it is good.
What if, the things the Order did wrong, Quantum Break actually does right? I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with having a lot of cutscenes. I know some gamers skip them all, but I don't.

Who are these people comparing it with Uncharted 4? PS4 is a more powerful console so I'd expect UC4 to have better graphics. That doesn't change the fact that QB is looking excellent, even DF stated it's visually impressive and at times stunning.

There has been alot of gaming media comparing it to UC4 and saying it's MS's megaton hit. And this gameplay video shows the truth of it not having top tier graphics. There is no way that one can say the previous 'gameplay' screenshots that MS/Remedy released are legit. The graphics are good for the time its releasing but I don't really say exceptional when I see them.

And DF has really lost all credability this gen so them saying its impressive doesn't hold water. This gen they admitted to taking bribes from MS to say that Ryse was the best looking launch game when, in the same writer's oppinion, it was not. How do we know that they are truthful now?

There we have what? When have I said the Order was bad? I haven't even played it but I do think that it's possible to do a mechanic, feature etc badly or do it well. Did you like the Order btw?

I actually agree with you about DF, I've never taken what they say seriously because many times my own experiences with games don't really reflect to their analyses. But QB does indeed look impressive and even stunning to me judging by these clips 😊 usually it's even better when playing it yourself. I'm expecting it to be the most impressive X1 game so far. And in the end even that it secondary to storytelling and gameplay for me.

I think the issue here is that many people didn't like The Order based on the design choice to include a lot of cinematic cut scenes, rather than how they were implemented.

Personally, I have no issue with that, and I actually enjoyed The Order. I also think the graphics in QB look great, I just have some concerns over hearing that the gameplay is "floaty" and "imprecise" along with some weird physics...But, I'm still confident that the game will be at least good.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Well surely we aren't hoping or asking for every game which uses this approach to be criticized and beaten to the ground for it? I like that shit myself and I hope there will be more games with lots of cinematic cutscenes in the future. They're not for everyone but there's plenty of other games to play too.

I'm confident too, I like the looks of that fast-paced and arcade-like movement and flow of the game. I heard that guns in the game have lots of recoil, so maybe that's why some found it "floaty" idk. It doesn't look like that though. I'm not worried about physics really, but I hope they'll fix that shooting through walls thing.

The bold was in the first part of my comment. I have no issue with really cinematic games at all, but I think some of the people that are comparing there use in QB to those in The Order are expecting hypocricy to be rampant when QB launces and all of the sudden long cinematic scenes are fine for people who didn't like them before.

But, that's a small matter. As I said, I have little doubt that the game will be good, but this hour of gameplay and the immpressions of the person who played it have lowered my expectations a little bit.

Yup I get this, that's why I previously wrote that it's possible that one game nails the design that other one didn't. It's the whole package that counts, after all, not much to do with hypocricy imo. Yes I understood you said the Order was criticized solely for the amount of cutscenes and I find it unfair and not good for gamers. I would just find it strange if gamers who enjoyed the Order would want another game to be criticized for using the same design they like :P That is, if QB even has that many cutsenes in the end.

But yeah, a small matter as you said.
