I just watched Appleseed: Ex Machina on regular ol' DVD--such a beautiful movie I may be forced to make my first BR purchase.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Just a fair warning, some reviewers thought that the transfer on this Blu-Ray was a little lackluster compared to some of the other animation gems out there (Ratatouille, Cars, Meet the Robinsons, etc.).

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

No Country for Old Men was an absolutely awesome film and it looks great on Blu-ray.

Hellsing Ultimate in Blu-Ray, that would be very orgasmic for me.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Bet: If Kingdom Hearts 3 becomes a multiplaform title/is not Wii exclusive then I will be banished from this land for 1 week and sing my praises to those who have proved themselves to be more intelligent than I.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/RDBRaptor/rdbraptor_sig16.jpg%5B/IMG%5D">

Yeah, anime in hi-def is one thing that I think could convert A LOT of younger males to make the switch.

Anime did a lot to get people onto DVD, especially since it was th same cost as most VHS subs at the time, and will probably be of a great influence for Blu-Ray. After the early adopter technophiles you still need a middle group to bridge the gap on the way to the mainstream public, and products with fanatical groups (anime, porn, etc.) are the way to go.
