Forums - Gaming - First emotional moment in gaming

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time -The only Pokemon game with a really good story imo. I was only 10 at the time but it made me cry.

The first time I put a step on Kanto in Pokemon Gold. That music, that moment... it still gives me chills xD

I dont know what came first, but it was either Final Fantasy X or Kingdom Hearts.Wont go into detail, because that would be spoiler territory, but the last scene of FFX was hearthbreaking. After all you ho through, just to end it like that... poor Yuna.(And it was the best ending the game could have in my opinion). For KH, it was when Sora did the sacrifice to save Kairi.Good lord, another heart breaking moment.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I remember the game but not what happened. It was Shining the Holy Ark back on the Sega Saturn. Its been so long since I played it that I can't remember which bit in the story it was :)

FF7. The death everyone knows about now.

Resident Evil 2 probably

Ada falling off a "cliff"

There's been a few.
-When I was getting trounced by Mother Brain in Super Metroid and nothing I tried was working--and then, something unexpected happened.

-When Chrono, Frog, and Marle (my "Go to team") tried to take on Lavos for the first time in the Kingdom of Zeal. That didn't end well for anybody!

-When Nick Meyer and John Turner died in Snake's Revenge. Say what you will about that game. When I played it, that game WAS Metal Gear 2 and it didn't disappoint.

-When the end credits rolled in Super Mario Bros 3 and they recapped the adventure. I felt so proud.

-When Bayou Billy finally kissed Annabelle (I think that was her name) at the end of The Adventures of Bayou Billy. That chick had no idea what I went to to get to the end of that game! And it was totally worth it.

I was a coward as a kid: I was afraid of facing Andross in SNES Star Fox, I was afraid of facing giant Bowser in Yoshi's Island (that scary music!), and was even afraid of facing the first boss in SM64.

Final Fantasy VI. The moment when Kefka creates the World of Ruin. I vividly remember being despondent watching the world crack and people fall through. Knowing that I had done everything right, but still wasn't able to save the world was heart wrenching for my pre-teen self.

Follow that with Celes's suicide if you fail the fish feeding mini-game right after the creation of the world of ruin and you've got the most emotional segment of any Final Fantasy.

The "Never forget them" line hits so hard.
