We don't know enough about NX, let alone the NextBox. But if Nintendo doesn't deliver with NX, I really don't see a future for them in home consoles. And that's coming from a huge Nintendo fan. NextBox probably won't be a traditional console anyways. PS4.5 will probably have a field day.

NX hans't even been announced phisically...
plus Nintendo already registered patents that point to the possibility to upgrade the device so even if a PS4.5 were to happen they'd just need to release a beefed up add-on I suppose

Yeah for whatever reason people are cheap with consoles but are willing to pay 600$+ on a phone every year that is 5% better lol

That sounds like it's more their problem since Apple has countless millions who are perfectly okay with upgrading their phones, computers, tablets etc. PC has the same exact style and has done for decades. I think the issue is with the group who refuses to follow the common standard, because that's how it is with a lot of technology, products and services these days.
