Forums - Nintendo - "Alleged" photo of NX controller "leaked": We might as well discuss this now

Feel free to quote me 5 years from now, I'll gladly eat crow if I am wrong, but I simply can't see any way for NX to be any more than a "barely scrapes by" at this point, given the strength of its competition and Nintendo's waning popularity.

If this is the controller, I agree. Goodbye third party support.

Now that I think about it, one thing is certain: the controller is ugly as hell. I could give it a chance, but the fact that it's ugly is undeniable lol.

Can Nintendo just announce the goddamn thing so stuff like this does not happen anymore?! Also, this better not be real.

Honestly. After looking at this. It very well might be real. Idriss2Dev claims that it's "pretty cool and new". If my little theory is correct, this baby is going to be amazing! I think that people are just jumping to conclusions that this is the console controller. I think that this might be the new handheld, and holy shit it looks amazing if this is the case. It's also very eerily similar to the Pokken controller.

For one. It's design is very much inline with a handheld device, and a damn comfortable one at that. It rather makes me feel that in terms of comfort, it will be closer to the original GBA, and this baby looks far more ergonometric and functional than any cellphone on the market. Scroll wheels look very functional for mobile web-browsing with ease. Control sticks look acceptable for a handheld design. Appears to be easy as hell to port any mobile game thanks to the haptic buttons, they could be potentially responsive as well. This is a very easy cash in for Nintendo to port mobile games on the e-shop. Almost ridiculous to be honest. Due to this, contradicting most rumors, porting PS4 and XBO games looks like a BITCH! While the screen looks blurry. I could be wrong, but I don't think 1080p at 60 fps is as expensive as many think it to be. The 900p rumors could very well be pertaining to this.... not the console, which is inexcusable to be anything less than 1080p in 2016.

I would like someone to provide evidence of where it states that this is a console controller. If I recall correctly. The patent said that this is a device that can connect to a console. Can is a very powerful word. I believe it was stated somewhere that a handheld counterpart was able to save, and take games on the go. This could very well be Nintendo's greatest handheld to date.

Fake, fake. You can even see the "B" 'button' is upside down when related to what looks like to be a camera.

No the B is corect, the camera is on the bottom of the screen. This spot can also be seen in the patent. Also it's worth mentioning that you can see the scroll shoulder buttons on the top. I highly doubt they would be on the bottom. Would you use your thums on them and your fingers on the analoug sticks and support the controller with your middle fingers?

Unlikely.

If NX is a home console, I'll be shocked if it outsells the Gamecube.

I don't get this line of thinking. So is Nintendo just doomed to fade in obscurity no matter what or...?

What I want to know is why do we trust all and every roumors.
"Reddit user says NX is a cloud-based service that sells software" literally all the media believes/publishes it. Whyyyyy

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Please explain to me how moving the analog sticks works when they are physically fused to the controller, and please tell me how this thing will handle literally any action game with complex button presses, and I'll concede that this is going to be "amazing."

Because all I see is no fighting games, no hack-n-slash games, no platformers, no Smash, no Pokken, no hope. None of that stuff is going to work without buttons.

No idea. It's probably because some people really want to know what the NX is.

That's my issue with this. It'll be extremely hard to use with any traditional game. Which will make the third party support non-existent. Again. But I think this is fake. Some random person saw the patent and build a rude design based on it. After a lot of thinking, I think it'll be a really big mistake, and I can't see this working at all.

Some people are missing the full picture here. If the image is indeed real, you don't have to worry about third-party support. Nintendo will probably have tons of first-party games ready to work with this new and exciting controller.
