My job is getting pretty easier and boring now since i been working for about 2 months now. I work security (only doing this job until University) and the job can get boring since I have alots of free time. I can enjoy handhelds games of this generation while i have a chance! I stopped playing my handhelds since last year.

Stopped playing the Vita due to lack of games 2 years ago. Stopped playing my 3ds since last summer.      

3DS: My 3ds is slightly broken because of the side but it's still playable. I was wondering if I should upgrade to a new 3DS so I can play Xenoblade Chronicles  and play Smash bros easier. I would like to try out new 3ds games such as the new Kirby game, Mario and Luigi Paper Jam, Hyrule Warriors Legends,  Shovel Knight, Triforce Heroes and probably other unannounced 3ds games coming out after this years e3! I was gonna get Mega Man Collection but I know the games will be too hard for me and you'll see a thread by me complaining about it lol.

PS Vita: This would be cheaper because my white ps vita works great! I'm thinkning of games like Tetris Ultimate, finishing Borderlands 2, Resident Evil, Rayman Legends/Origins, Minecraft, Wipeout 2048, Lego games, Sly Cooper Thieves of time, and Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z. But idk, I think I would want to pick the new 3ds more.

NX: I can't say much about this one. Nothing is confirmed that the handheld will be releasing soon. I want to wait until E3 to find out if the handheld version is coming this year after all so I can wait(and save money)  to get this. Because I'd be angry if i bought the new 3ds and the new handheld would release half a year later!  

So what do you think?! 

It sounds to me like you want to play 3DS. I would at the very least play your old 3DS.

No, I want you to be unnecessary bored. So don't have fun with handhelds you already own! Wait for NX.

Depends what you want from it.

Nintendo fans will tell you 3DS. Vita fans will tell you Vita.

If you already have a Vita that is your cheapest option over an n3DS. Shovel knight is on it. It also has some dynasty warriors games which is what Hyrule Warriors is athemed reskin/spin-off of.

Another thing would be potential backwards compatibility with NX giving you access to the 3DS software you want for the price of a single extra system.

Also looked at upcoming 2016 releases on both? No reason you can't revive both via your current systems.

Digimon Cyber Sleuth is the game that has my full attention atm.

If you already own the two handhelds, play both. Unless your 3DS is getting slower of old age, there is very little reason to upgrade (Xenoblade 3D, The Binding of Isaac and SNES VC. That's it).

As people have already said, it'd be best to play both, but i think it's best to not yet invest in a New 3DS and wait until the NX handheld announcement, to see if you'd rather invest in that
