Hmmm, what version should I get though?

PS4 no doubt, why would you not pick the best version? unless portability is a huge deal for you.

I guess not. Are there differences between the two versions? And have you tried the online multiplayer?

There is no diferences between the 2 other than the obvious upgraded resolution on the PS4, well i remember the Vita version having some problems at launch but if im not wrong that got patched a while ago, so really its just the PS4 having the obvious advantage in resolution.

And no i dont have PS plus anymore so i havent tried the multiplayer, which is the one thing thats keeping me away from getting the platinum.

It's quite text heavy, quite a slow start, and has some very tedious missions at times. But overall it's a good game once you get into it.
Haven't tried the online but I suspect that you'll see the same few Digimon over and over again. There seem to be a few that are just obviously more powerful than the rest.

I'm about halfway into the story on PS4 and I'm enjoying it.

I have a few complaints though. There's a good amount of backtracking through the same areas. The digimon themselves don't play a very big part in the story (from what I can tell, but it might change later on). No english dub is a bit disappointing but not really a huge deal (although I did turn off the voices because they actually kinda annoyed me, which is a first). The missions can also be a bit samey and repetitive.

But if you're a Digimon fan, this is absolutely something you should take a look at. Very nostalgic to see all the old digimon I saw as a kid and be able to use them in battle. Graphically it's good for a handheld port, and the soundtrack is pretty good. I just hope that one day Bandai Namco can justify making a home console Digimon game from the ground up. xD

Cool, have you tried the online multiplayer yet? Everyone I asked played through the whole game and didn't touch the multiplayer. lol
