I honestly ignore the best way of marketing for apps, so is this silence normal for that market?

I do want to clarify something about the mini-game. It doesn't seem to actually be multiplayer, despite the way it looks. Instead, it's a minigame that is used to earn things like coins and accessories in Miitomo. Which is fine, but they are missing out on a huge by not having a multiplayer minigame like with Words With Friends. Miitomo lends itself perfectly to something like that.

Hopefully that's something they add later. Snapchat blew up, but what gave it staying power was when they added stories. Miitomo has staying power, but just one good, simple, passive multiplayer minigame that awards the same kinds of currency would be enough to propell this thing way up.

It seems like the social interaction for now is the question/answer part, which is the "ask.fm" part I was refering before. I also notice there are thematic photo contests (this week is photos with cats I think, bloody cats xDD). But, yeah, I think that integrating simple MP games between friends could be a great addition in the future.

Oh, THAT'S where I know you from!

Dude, your youtube videos are legit. Like I'm really critical of youtube because most channels that think they're good are shit, but yours is legit. Seriously good work. The puppet gimmick works and your scripts feel really natural and not forced or cheesy or awkward.

You're sarcasm is misguided though. People will want Miitomo, they stopped talking about it because they plan to make it big organically, and they the day isn't over yet. I'm sure we'll see Miitomo ads by the end of the week.

Great channel, though. Fantastic stuff truly. First time I've said that to a user here.

Honesly, I wouldn't be surprised if this appeared on Japanese TV CMs and other media. I used to see CMs for Smash Bros and Splatoon all the time while I was living over there. I wouldn't be surprised if you could spot people using it in the subways and the JR soon.
