So, there are rumours like this, Nintendo might be interested in VR technology. Considering the NX will probably be similar in power than the XBone-PS4, they'll need to make a VR set for the device (I don't know if they could use a 3rd party device like the Occulus or the Vive). But it's still a really risky and untested market. Having into account Nintendo has to focus on making the NX a success first and foremost, and then follow other trends, do you think Nintendo will allow VR on the NX? If they do, will they use their own headset, or will they use a 3rd party one? And will Nintendo make 1st party VR games?

I hope not. I don't think this tech is viable yet.

Please Nintendo, just stick to making great software.

Honestly Nintendo need to focus on making a good traditional home console which matches the power of competitors, continuing to provide excellent first party software and getting third parties on board too... don't worry about VR until after they've secured the NX as a relevant platform.

Depends.If the NX already have a great gimmick for itself(as Vr is a gimmick), then I say it dosent need.And at this point it dosent need one.Just make a deal with Oculus or Vive

Nintendo doesn't like to follow trends.

Nintendo should focus on making a regular console, IF they see that VR catches with people then they should start developing their own VR headset and announce it at E3 2017 but I hope they don't lose time developing anything for it...

The thing is, Nintendo is great at making software so its makes sense that they would be great at making modern VR games.  Why would they be good a console and mobile games but they be terrible at VR?  That doesn't add up for me.

I figure they'll eventually do something like Gear VR wherein the NX tablet controller would transition into a VR device a la Galaxy S7 to Gear VR.
