They should put it on smart tv's and all Android phones. I bet Canada is next, then the UK, Germany, France etc.

Canada maybe but Europe won't be for a while in my opinion, although the UK could well be the next port of call.
The PS5 Exists.

Thes is a great deal, but unfortunately, there are a couple channels they don't offer which would force me to keep my cable subscription.

Why not? I see them expanding like Netflix. I bet all the major countries will have it by 2018. Then they have PS Now, they wanna own the streaming business. Should become nice revenue streams for Sony if they catch on.

The US is unified to a certain extent, which is clearly why PSVue is lacking in 'local' TV at the moment. That might be rectified at some point. Europe has hundreds of unique channels dedicated to each European country. For instance, France has completely different programs to the UK, and so does Germany, Spain etc.

Sony has a big presence in Europe, they can perfectly negotiate channel per channel, country per country to add content to their service. betting they'll go for Champions League, if that happens, PS Vue will become huge.

It will take quite a while though. That's why PSNow appeared much later in Europe than in the US. Of course, this is one of those situations I hope I'm wrong about.

its just a matter of time. depending on how successful this is in the states it would eventually go global and don't will just form partnerships with different region content providers. At the end of the day, the relevance of PSvue is its TV over Internet backbone. Sony putting their gaikai aqusition to work. What's funny tho, is back in 2013; who would have thought that Sony was going to build what could become the best , cheapest and feature rich (considering it's price)TV streaming national service? Thing would have come full circle when people are installing a PSvue app on their Xbox one. |
I guess if the model is for Sony to pay brodcasters to put their entire channels on PS Vue then that can work outside the USA. However I'm not sure the revenue cost/benefit works out for broadcasters, since most of them are all setting up ondemand services at no extra cost to the consumer. I hope it does come, I just have my doubts about value for money in the non-US markets.
