You have officially proved I'm 100% right. We only see cutscenes or in-game back view of drake in that footage. His in-game face only shows up from a distance, so we can conveniently not see the details. I wonder what's so hard about turning the character towards the camera during gameplay, if showing off graphics is what they want. Seriously, that's all it takes. Seems pretty clear they don't want people to see the difference between in-game models and cutscene ones.

The Cutscenes are made with the same ingame engine as all Uncharted  games, what are you trying to debate here?

Do you find those graphics underwhelming?

They can use whatever engine they want, what matters is the models. and considering they haven't properly shown in-game models, I'll assume they're lower quality than the ones from cutscenes. That is untill it's proven otherwise (if ever), but previous games say it's likely never. Officially, that is, we'll have definitive proof when it releases.

His hand looks much better here.

LOL.  I know!  Everything screams top level quality. It is really beyond belief. Considering what they did with the PS3, I suppose we shouldn't be suprised, but I suppose thats what happens when a bunch of hyper smart people get together to make a video game.   His expression looks so natural.

Nah, what I'm seeing here is you're choosing to believe what you want to believe.

But it's not more technically demanding than before. The rock does look like it got a better texture but overall it looks like the same scene with different lightning.

You have no way of knowing that.

Now that's insulting. I see what is being shown, It's not something up to debate. It is a fact that the ingame model of drake hasn't been properly shown (front view and up close).

- the hands got an obvious downgrade
- clothes got lower texture
- chesthair less detailed
- less detail around the eyes and forehead
- less sweat/water reflection
- made darker to possibly hide lowered textures

Half of this can be caused by file format compression, of course.
The wall got a serious upgrade, though.
Great looking either way!

Its the same model.  This information is already out there.  I think it was revealed when they did the artist panel about a year ago.  Its on YouTube somewhere.  I am sure the cutscenes are heavy on effects but the models are the same.  This is known.

There is no gameplay video showing the ingame model properly, therefore we cannot tell how it compares to the one in the cutscenes. In this case, proof equals showing, and all we had was talk but no showing. History doesn't help either.

Here you have a 30 minute gameplay video BTW.

CGI, can you please embed the video?!

Lot's of gameplay, no showing of in-game models. Looks like these words are falling on deth ears.
