Forums - Sony - Uncharted 4 new Visual Upgrade * must see *

So much Uncharted for me to handle. May can't come fast enough, even if I'm flooded with a lot of games lately.

This one in particular is my favorite gif. I also promised myself to stay away from videos, but it's very hard not to do so.

Thunderbird certainly has a point though, why cant we get a still picture of the gameplay footage you guys are providing? That's really all he's asking for.

Well, not much footage of the game exists yet and the current footage doesn't seem to contain what I want. We have to wait for more in order to get that. Hopefully we get that at E3 or earlier.

AS Miguel noted, nobody has to do this, but I'm only continuing to entertain it because it's so painfully obvious how easily one could look this up.

Looks good but not close enough to see detail. But damn it looks good! All dat vegetation!

As mentioned many times, this isn't what I've been asking and I fail to see how you couldn't get the point yet. That is too distant to see properly. For comparison, this is what we see in a cutscene:

So far, no gameplay footage has such an angle or similar. I would greatly appreciate if you stopped posting gameplay images/gifs/videos that aren't angled like that while pretending they are. We need to wait for more footage.

Yup, that's also an in-game character model. And the single player model looks even better!

Hmmm...Uncharted 4 releases May 10, a month before E3. If you have a PS4, you can buy it and see for yourself. As for everyone else, they, like me, have been fortunate enough to get a peek at what the game looks like for nearly two years, now.

Then may 10 it is. By the way, that's the first image close to what I'm asking and does seem lower quality than cutscenes.

You were given every tool to do all of this yourself - yet, expect others to do the work for you. Nobody had to do anything here, and as you've been told, you'll get nothing else.

'sides, the only thing I'm "waiting for", regarding this game, is May 10. ;)

huh? Do what by myself? I already had my share of looking for footage.

What if they're lower quality than cutscenes?

What's wrong with having cut-scenes rendered with better assets, while gameplay, which happens at a farther camera distance, gets barely noticeably less detailed assets? What's wrong with that? As highly detailed or not, they're still among the best character models in any videogames, and certainly better than whatever your favoured company brings to the table. So I question your agenda here.

Nothing wrong with that but there are many cases where fans are led to believe cutscene graphics are equal to gameplay.

From what I gather, the cut-scenes are rendered in-engine and in real-time, instead of being pre-rendered like in the prior games. That's what some people are led to believe.

But I personally haven't verified this information.

But I thought ps4 was underpowered trash? Prettier than any game I've seen.

Things go well until comments like this come in. Indeed ps4 is underpowered, it is low end hardware.

Game looks gorgeus because they use some "tricks" like 30fps cap, small scenarios and a lot of scripts. In my case i have seen games that look better.

Hell crysis looks better and we are talking about a 2007 game...

Ye dude Crisis looks nothing liek UC 4. And ye a PC has the possibility of doing graphics better than tihs, but the thing is devs almost never waste the time doing it, the compact and specialized nature of consoles make it easier to use the so called "tricks" and devs who know their way around a console can make some stuf that seen impossible. Heck the Order even with all the critisism it gets is a game that looks better than almost anythign else out there.
