It's a full interview of TPHD but this quote i find is the most intresting.

"Famitsu: So I heard that the save data for this game that’s saved in the Wolf Link amiibo has some connections to the [upcoming] newest Legend of Zelda…

Aonuma: "It’s not the save data itself, but “Part of the data saved in the Wolf Link amiibo can be brought over and used in the new title too”. For some people, when they play the new title, they might feel the urge to play Twilight Princess HD one more time."

Now this also connections to the TPHD Retrospective video where Aonuma said

"Aonuma: While making the latest title for The Legend of Zelda, when I look at this remake, I feel like this is the origin point of the new title we’re making right now. After playing this game you may have some “Oh I see!” moments when playing the [upcoming] new game, so I’ll be glad if you play Twilight Princess HD while waiting in anticipation for the latest title of Legend of Zelda."

Maybe this means "you'll want to go back to complete those quests/things you didn't in your TP hd run to be able to transfer/unlock those stuff for Zelda U."

What you guys think?

This reeks as a prequel/sequel to TP. I like it!

I'd guess Zelda U will play after TP. But I doubt whatever you carry over will be substantial.
Or you can transfer the extra attack moves you learn during the game, and then complain about the Amiibo pay wall.

I agree. It seems Zelda U will take place after TP. Aonuma's comments and the amiibo link are pretty solid pieces of evidence to that. I doubt it'll take place before TP given that game's direct connections to Ocarina in it's backstory. Like on Wind Waker's side there isn't really any room. We'll see if it comes in-between TP and FSA or after the latter at the very end of that branch of the timeline. Would be nice to actually continue a timeline for a change.

As for the amiibo-use itself, I have no idea. Love to find out what the big secret is. Aonuma speaks about replaying TP once more. Maybe it would be cool if something in Zelda U unlocks some hidden content in TPHD through the amiibo, and the other way around, like the passwords did in the Oracle games...

I thought it was common knowledge that the most likely place for Zelda U was after TP. There was some architecture in the gameplay we've seen that a bunch of people extrapolated and linked to architecture of Hyrule Field in TP, most notably GameXplain I believe.

Ah yes, there was a bridge that resembled one of the large bridges in TP. There were already hints.
