Oh, and sometimes you have to exterminate and eliminate the enemy entirely in an area. The enemies are bullet sponges, ESPECIALLY the bosses, and all you do is kill things for loot. There IS NO REAL MULTIPLAYER, no real PVP. It's a co-op, mission-based game that dilutes after just a few hours of play. It got boring for me after only a few hours, and the mechanics are not all that great. Gears of War has much better 3rd person shooter mechanics and is a lot more fast-paced and fun. As an always only shared world shooter, or an MMO, or whatever you want to call it, Destiny is actually a lot more fun for me. There is more variety in enemies, (which is sad because there are literally only like 3 enemy types in Destiny) much more variety in weapons (although I will say not as customizable as far as attachments and such), it's faster pace, and you feel like you are doing something for a reason (getting better for multiplayer, getting a higher level to complete special raids, getting a higher level to compete in special events). I feel that The Division, is a grind for gear for no reason game. You are literally just trying to get gear with no end game. Without real player versus player multiplayer and special events and such, what are you gearing up for? So that you can kill enemies more easily in the same environment over and over again? Seriously, I found no point to the game, and felt like I was doing everything just to do it, with no real end game in sight. I like having the feeling that I am accomplishing something, but quickly realized that no matter how much I played the game, there is really no point in getting better gear except to complete that next pointless mission for slightly better loot. I mean, it's nice to get new gear, don't get me wrong, but these are pretty mundane weapons with sort of ok-ish, kind of useful/cool abilities strapped to your character. The Dark Zone was completely a let down for me, it's just the city with other groups who may or may not shoot you with NPCs mixed in. You run around, try not to get shot, and find better loot in chests, and then just airmail it away on a helicopter to be retrieved later. Unfortunately, even going rogue isn't all that exhilarating. I walk away from this game just feeling meh. |
People like simple, repetative, shallow "pew" "pew" games. Each to their own, we can't all like the same.
