Forums - Nintendo - Dark Type Gym?

Haha I never noticed that, there should be one on sun/moon

Maybe it could be moon exclusive. Like the last gym in each game representing the title, fire/new light type (wish) for sun and dark for moon.

Yeah that's what I thought, it would be very fitting for pokemon moon to have a dark type gym.

Been wondering this ever since Gen 4, and I was pretty shocked when XY didn't have a Dark type gym.

It's long overdue, and it should happen.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I know they've done a few elite 4 members as dark type, so perhaps that's why? Maybe getting pokemon with dark's weakness is a little difficult for the player? You need bug, fighting, or fairy to have a strong chance.

my dream: having like 18 gyms in a region, and a could choose 8 of them to go to elite four.
And elite members didnt have to be monotype.

and PWT back, i loved that place! BW2 is my favorite pokemon game because of PWT.

This would be awesome!

Please GameFreak, take notes

Isn't bug usually one of the first types available? Fighting type moves are pretty common too so it shouldn't be hard for people to have something dark is weak against.

I guess it's not so hard if you can find a bug or a machop, thought shouldn't have whitney been easier since her weaknesses were present before as well? Haha...

Dark would be interesting. Maybe they're worried about making it too scary for the younger kids who play Pokemon? No idea.

Maybe now, but they sure didn't hold back with Lavender Town in gen 1 xD

fighting wasn't as prevalent back in gen 2. things are different now.

That is true. Althought how many fighting types are readily available in a pokemon game? Imagine if the dark type was an early gym too.

As Long As we keep getting Cool looking Dark type E4 I'm ok with there beeing no Dark Type gym leaders, I mean look at them:

They are probably three of my all time favourite characters among Gym Leaders, E4 and champions, I think only Flannery, Lance and Malva are on the same level ...
