Forums - Gaming - People had unrealistic expectations for the nintendo direct.

I wasn't expecting much, but it was overall decent so I didn't really have any problems with the Direct

Games that I'm not interested in are games I won't buy so I wasn't really bothered about Federation Force or Paper Mario :p

People are upset about Paper Mario because it shows that Nintendo didn't learn from Sticker Star that people don't want that style of gameplay. Star Fox looks fine, and the update to Mario Maker will get me playing it again because it changes so much of what you can do with your levels.

I don't think a good Paper Mario sequel is an unrealistic expectation.

Nintendo need to just cancel the entire Paper Mario games and give us a proper Super Mario RPG 3. The first Paper Mario was fun and challenging the current itteration of the game have been so dumb down and really try to cater to kids.

Has for unrealistic expectations.... Nintendo performance over the past two years has been Mediocre at best. Splatoon and Mario Maker might be a shining star on what is horendous offering by Nintendo overall.  When Nintendo can't even be bothered to make a half decent Mario Tennis, this just goes to show how far the quality control has dropped from a company that used to make great games.

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival Wii U - Mediocre

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash Wii U - 4.8 Bad

Yoshi's Woolly World Wii U - 7.4 Good

Mario Party 10 Wii U - 6.5 Okay

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Nintendo 3DS - 5.9 Mediocre

Yo-Kai Watch Nintendo 3DS -
7.2 Good

Getting scores out of nowhere to prove something?

Woolly World has a 78 on metacritic, Paper jam a 77, Yoktai a 78. Thats more than most big blockbusters this gen, and they were not bad by any means, Specially Yoshi was awesome, this sounds to me like "Im angry for one thing, lets shit about everything"

You're not understanding the controversy. No one is mad that they didn't announce enough or whatever. They're mad that they continue to announce stuff we don't want. I actually went into it expecting to not be impressed. I didn't expect to be infuriated.

I guess we`ll find out from the sales. My guess is that the angry people will be the first ones in line to buy it...

Gotta buy it to confirm that it sucks? And then might as well keep it and play all the way through and I guess it wasn't that bad after all.

I kind of did that with Metroid Other M, except at the end I looked back and went "that was kind of still really bad."

Those scores are from IGN, I believe.

Lets face it, what else are they going to buy? The next Skylander or Disney movie game?

Who just gave Conquet 95.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

I expected nothing and didn't watch it. In return I'm getting a lot of people throwing a fit in a gaming forum. It's a huge net win for me.
