Forums - Nintendo - Motion controls "cannot be entirely disabled" in Starfox Zero

If this was one year ago, I would be annoyed, but seeing how well motion controls worked in Splatoon, I don't really think it's that big of a deal

I don't like the motion controls for Zelda so I was surprised that I kept with motion controls in Splatoon

Well that's a bummer for motion control haters, but if they are half as good as they are in Splatoon I´m happy with it, anyways I wonder in what ways can you change the motion controls, they are only to aim doesnt it? So either they are on or they are off but I dont see any other option.

Nintendo needs new, young developers. All the old dudes are stuck on stupid. Splatoon for example, made by young staff members...no bullcrap whatsoever. No mandatory motion crap, just a solid game. I wish Nintendo would just quit the motion stuff, it isn't even that great and it never was.

That's funny because it's actually great in Splatoon and anyone who takes that game seriously plays with motion controls.

LOL so true

Oh, but dont you like the motion controls on the 3ds remakes and wiiu remasters? I think they are really good, and nothing as intrusive as TP wii.

People complains because Nintendo don't use enough the GamePad capabilities, but when they do people also complains because they don't want to use the GamePad capabilities.

Damn if you do, Damn if you don't.

It's annoying especially on the TV as you will have to move the gamepad while looking at the TV.. Always bind weapons to the R button so I can use sticks to aim

Gyro for 3DS as well, never liked motion controls.. :/

Actually yes, you are very on point here.

I think options are better, but if the game is completely designed with the gamepad in mind it maybe just very complicated to turn it off without hurting the gameplay once has been designed for that purpose, and I think is totally normal some games are way more focused on the gamepad since is what makes the console different and a 30% more expensive than it should. So I dont see too much of a problem here, and I think we should wait to seehow they work before making a judgement because we all saw what happened with Splatoon, official data says +80% of people uses the motion controls there.

Sucks but motion controls are not that bad, still the option to disable them should be in the game.

Ahaha fuck this game, seriously. It will be a martyr for motion controls, but it will also kill Star Fox for another 10 years. Fantastic.

It's not damn if you do, damned if you don't. The gamepad functionality in Zero is stupid. People wouldn't have minded if they did something else with it but gyroscopic fucking aiming is terrible.

My god Nintendo fans are a bunch of whiny fucks.

I for one am very happy about this. If they make a game that can be played without motion controls, that probably means that the motion controls are a novelty add on that doesn't add much to the experience. If they want to make a game that uses motion controls in anything beyond the most basic capacity, then it probably won't be able to be played properly without them.

Seems that Nintendo fans just want a string of sequels that play the same as the last game. My Paper Mario doesn't have partners. My Metroid doesn't have Samus. My Star Fox doesn't control the same way it did two decades ago. Wah wah wah. How dare Nintendo try do do something different.

People bitching that Nintendo doesn't listen to their fans? Well they probably shouldn't, because most of their fans are egocentric little bitches who don't realize that their favorite franchise is not made just for them.

A little off topic, but the amount of whining has reached intolerable levels. I almost can't wait for the inevitable shitstorm that is going to come when the NX is not another version of PS4...
