Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Will Do Well On Mobile Because That's Where Its Core Audience Is Now, Claims Analyst

Don't see how touchscreen works for their games, unless a bluetooth controller will work. But then you would need to perch your tablet against something. Just doesn't make sense.

Too bad they can't even release a Tomodachi game on time.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

You know what works really well with poor controlls like touch screen ?
Turn based RPGs.

Theres no reason Nintendo cant make a really good Pokemon game for mobile.
(its the smash fighter & mario platformer type games that wont work)

Mario Kart Mobile will then have more downloads than Angry Birds Go :p

I don't think the core audience is on mobile, however nintendo games would sell pretty good on that platform.

If Nintendo were just going to port over games from their hardware or attempt to offer handheld/console experiences on mobile, I'd agree.  When I look at Nintendo though, I expect them to create new new sytles of gameplay/interaction/expereinces that capitalize on what mobile does well and then utilize their popular IPs by inserting them into those new styles of gameplay specifically catered for mobile.

The last system I purchased was a Nintendo DS. I wanted to all the other handhelds. But I dread thinking about all the cartridges I used to carry. I know you can download games now, but it's still really lacking compared to a phone.

So good job Nintendo. Bring on the mobile games!

I'm setting up a video game "book club"! Still figuring out the details -- PM me!

Fuck phones. I'm glad that Ninty's hardware will remain the focus.

Mario Kart on Phone huh? Ok. *calls Spock*

Pokemon could be the next big thing. Seems like an odd thing to say but it's true. Established IP plus smart phone and it could be huge. The only question is if Nintendo is ready to make the jump.
