Forums - Nintendo - Is Nintendo investing more in China?

South East Asia has Family Computer (NES) while has english subtitles back then. We also had Super FamiCom (SNES). But after that it was more similar with Playstation with what Australia (Europe) would have.
The sales I believe is not that great.

There are a few gaming stores which you can rent for an hour the console and the game you want.

The piracy is bigger in that area due to all the console clones that NES/FamiCom had. All those 100 in 1 games or onboard games included which you can play all those Legend of Kage, Wrestling, Baseball, Contra, Galaga, Battle City, SMB 1 and all those NES/FamiCom greats.

On topic, Nintendo really should continue and push for the China market. They can have those 8-16 yr old market , the main competition for gaming for China is PC gaming with the likes of DOTA, LOL, etc.

Well China is a big, mostly unexplored market in-terms of gaming, so it would be wise to do so.

If Nintendo can get a decent foothold in China, that will be profitable so they would be stupid not to try.
