Universal apps didn't save Windows Phone. Kinda disappointing.
This could be cool if the store gets more indie support as a result. I see this move as improving the reach of Windows 10 universal apps to make it more desirable. Games like Hearthstone, might work.

It's silly, MS just doesn't get it...No one wants all this bloat and garbage on their consoles...it's not a phone or PC. typical Microsoft, trying ti fot round pegs into square holes. Garbage phone apps, utility software has no place on a console.

And? Why the holy shit, this will have zero impact on a console. More bloatware and things people don;t want on console, if anything it's a turn off.

No!! You just don't get it....just because the windows 10 store is coming to Xbox doesn't mean every app will be compatible, just like how not all apps work on pc and phone...universal apps are about choice for the developer.if they want to put there apps on all devices they can.but they don't have to .

Perhaps that is what MS doesn't get. When I buy a console, I want stuff that has been specially tailor made for it. This is indeed for developers, not for the user base. I'm with SplenidSolis on this, it makes a console less attractive.
Maybe one day MS will understand again that desktop pc / laptop = mouse pointer+kb, console = controller, tablet/phone = touchscreen. Not one UI fits all, totally different fov, no such thing as universal apps.
