Yeah, it's becoming garbage. And we shouldn't HAVE to use adblock. Ads are fine when they're done right. If everyone got adblock then the site would make no money and go under. This isn't a healthy system to get into.

Twice, I've had porn pop up and damn near ruin me. Once during a morning briefing at work. Once when trying to Google something with my gf and forgetting that my phone was on Vgchartz.

I don't know what to say. You guys trying to run me off of the site!?!  The one with my gf was some sort of dating site called "swipe and fuck". Jesus, guys! What are you trying to do to me!?!

Except if the gf ever see's it, there will be second thoughts to that...

Pro-tip for mobile users (aka, the guys who can't use adblock because Google) - go to site settings in your browser and disable Javascript for vgchartz. This breaks most of the ads, particularly the awful ones that suck. It also breaks the comment interface, though, making it tricky to do anything fancy or quote someone. But it's worth it.

I feel its just to much hassle at the end. Vgchartz has always been better on desktop, and I doubt that's changing anytime soon.

I am leaving.  Between the ads and the oversensitivity of SOME mods, I have had enough.  This site is becoming a joke and I am done.

So it seems I have been banned for telling someone to troll harder. As a result of this, I will not be participating on this site anymore. Between the ads and the joke of a rule list, it is not worth my time to give them the ad revenue.

It was a reply yo one of the other comments, so check for those if you do not see it. As you can see, I was a little hard on PC fanboys BUT I never called anyone a fanboy. I was addressing a reply that someone else made trying to make out PC fanboys the victim. I said my piece and then he proceeded to twist my words and flat out lie in his reply. I called him out on it because either he was trying to troll me, or he was just not comprehending what I was saying. Either way I was not wasting my time any further.

That YES THAT is why I was banned. Yes it is a temp ban, but I will not walk on eggshells because mods or anybody is oversensitive enough to ban anyone over this. It is a JOKE! And those of you who know me know that I am a respectable poster and never attack anyone.

So with that, I bid you farwell. I will miss many of you and hope all goes well in your future endeavors. Sorry to hijack the thread, but this account cannot make a new thread without 50 posts, and I was not waiting to post my farwell.
